Millions invested into North American Indigenous Games 2017
The provincial and federal governments announced a multi million dollar investment into the 2017 North American Indigenous Games.
Ontario will host the Games in Toronto next summer on the traditional territory of the New Credit, Haudenosaunee, Huron-Wendat and Metis Nation of Ontario.
The games provide indigenous youth from 13 to 19 an opportunity to showcase
their heritage through 14 sports and cultural events.
Minister of Tourism Michael Coteau said the event will be an exceptional and positive experience for indigenous youth, for sport, our communities and our economy.
