Ontario to give free college tuition for low income families
00
The province released details on a program providing free tuition to more than 150,000 eligible students from low and middle income families.
The new grant program replaces a number of existing provincial assistance programs with a single, targeted, non-repayable Ontario Student Grant starting in the 2017-18 academic year.
Premiere Kathleen Wynne said breaking down barriers to postsecondary education is part of the economic plan to build Ontario up by generating economic growth, improving social mobility and create long-term, sustainable prosperity.
