Wab Kinew wins election in Manitoba

NDP candidate Wab Kinew has won the Manitoba provincial election in Fort Rouge, beating out Manitoba’s Liberal Leader Rana Bokhari.
Kinew was under scruitny by his opponents during his campaign for comments he made on social media poking fun at impoverished children in Attawapiskat.
Manitoba has elected 14 NDP MLA’s 4 of which are indigenous – making up a quarter of the NDP Caucus.
