AFN Chief calls for indigenous plan for greener Canada

Assembly of First Nations National Chief Perry Bellegarde said indigenous people need to be act alongside federal and provincial governments to address climate change.
Bellegarde said First Nations are the first to feel the impacts of climate change and possess traditional knowledge that can help solve the crisis.
Bellegarde said protecting the waters and lands is part of the sacred responsibility of indigenous people and that full inclusion of First Nations communities is essential to moving towards a greener Canada.
