A local resident teamed up with Six Nations Police and Health Services to give away booster seats for children at the Stonebridge Daycare last week.
Christa Jonathan brought the research program to Six Nations last summer; which is seeking to prevent vehicular injury in First Nations communities.
Jonathan was provided with 40 booster seats for children from Six Nations at no cost. Jonathan said within two hours all of the safety seats had been claimed.
Jonathan said it felt good to give back to her community and that those 40 children are going to be travelling safely.
