Post Secondary funding for indigenous students left out of Budget 2016

The federal government’s 2016 Budget may have boasted billions invested into education for First Nations students in Canada, but critics say the liberals excluded investments for post-secondary education.
Despite being a campaign promise by the liberal party, the 2% funding cap on the Post-Secondary Student Support Program for Indigenous students has not been ammended.
Officials form the Canadian Federation of Students said supporting post-secondary Indigenous learners is not only economically smart for Canada, but morally required as part of a commitment to truth and reconciliation.
