Chocolate milk recall expanded

00

Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health is urging people to toss chocolate milk products that may be contaminated with Lysteria.

Dr. David Williams said this is especially important for people who are at high risk for complications including those with compromised immunity, the elderly and pregnant women.

A recall was issued June 4th for the Neilson Brand Partly Skimmed Chocolate Milk products sold across Ontario.

That recall was expanded to include all Neilson chocolate milk products in various sizes with an expiry date up to June 22nd.

Ontario issued a statement saying the chocolate milk has been linked to an ongoing Listeria investigation, associated with human illness.

Saputo’s CEO issued a statement saying they are taking the situation very seriously and offered an apology to the individuals who have become ill from the milk.

Consumers can toss the products or return them for a refund.
