00
Gaweni:yo Mohawk and Cayuga Language Immersion School raised over $20,000 towards the construction of a new school building at a recent fundraising gala event, held on Six Nations.
The Mohawk and Cayuga immersion programs started in 1986 and have been operating without a permanent school building.
Plans to build a new school on Fourth Line in Ohsweken are still being developed. Anyone wishing to help by making a financial contribution to the building fund can do so by visiting www.kgps.ca
