Educators are warning parents in the Hamilton-Wentworth region after they say students are being contacted by child trafficking recruiters.
The Hamilton Wentworth District School Board sent out a memo to educators on March 18, saying a company called Clubhouse is sending messages to students social media accounts offering money in exchange for inappropriate photos and then uploading those images to pornographic websites.
A number of flyers in the region promising phones for Teens Work from the same company have also been reported.
The school board is cautioning parents and students to report any suspicious activity to Hamilton Police.

Vaccine clinics have begun on Six Nations.
Elected Council announced that 6000 total doses of the Moderna vaccine were delivered to the community.
So far 730 people have received the vaccine with another 2500 band members registered to get the vaccine in the coming days.

COVID-19 case counts are declining at Six Nations after a three month spike in community transmission.
Currently there are 29 active cases of COVID-19 in the community with 1 person in hospital. 156 people are currently in self-isolation. That is down from 278 people in isolation last week.
Six Nations has seen 431 cases of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic and 8 deaths.

Ontario’s top doctor says the province is now in the midst of a third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. David Williams, Chief Medical Officer of Health says the province is at the early stages of the third wave with 1500 cases a day being logged this week.
Health officials are scrambling to get vaccinations into people’s arms as dangerous COVID variants are said to be multiplying.
Doctors are saying the variants and third wave cases emerging now are showing to hit younger adults harder. No word from the premier on whether or not Ontario will be heading into another lockdown.
