Staff and students from Oliver M. Smith – Kawennio School have been recognized with special awards for excellence this week.
Pauline Johnson, Lana Henhawk and Donte VanEvery were honoured at the Spring Awards Gala in Brantford.
Donte VanEvery, a primary student at OM Smith won the student achievement award for consistently bringing a positive attitude everywhere he goes.
The gala is put on by the Council for Exceptional Children and recognizes students, teachers and community volunteers for their hard work throughout the year.
