Metis Nation of Ontario elects first female president

Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne and Minister of Aboriginal Affairs David Zimmer extended their congratulations to the new President of the Metis Nation, Margaret Froh yesterday.
Froh is the first female to ever be elected Metis Nation president. From has spent her career working on behalf of Metis people in legal and justice issues.
Wynne and Zimmer said in a joint written statement they look forward to collaborating with the Metis Nation of Ontario to help improve the well being of Metis children, families and communities.
