Residents of the Attawapiskat First Nation are again dealing with another group suicide attempt.
Chief of Attawapiskat, Bruce Shisheesh, said via Twitter that five more children attempted suicide on the weekend.
The chief expressed his concerns that front line health care and social workers are also becoming traumatized at dealing with the crisis.
Indigenous Affairs Minister Carolyn Bennett and local MP Charlie Angus announced they will be in Attawapiskat on Monday to meet with community and youth leaders to determine an action plan in dealing with the crisis.
