Representatives from the indigenous community and a delegation of allies from the Black Lives Matter Toronto campaign have occupied three Indigenous Affairs offices in Downtown Toronto, Winnipeg and James Bay.
Members of the public gathered to rally outside the INAC office in Toronto yesterday evening to stand in solidarity with the people of Attawapiskat, who are suffering a public health crisis.
Support rallies are also coming together in Winnipeg and Ottawa on Friday.
Across social media supporters tweeted out with the hashtag #OccupyINAC to bring attention to the dire situation of indigenous people in the remote north.
