Onondaga Nation meets with US Candidate Bernie Sanders

USA Democratic Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders met with Onondaga Nation Faithkeeper Oren Lyons and Chief Bradley Powless prior to his speech in Syracuse, NY last week.
Sanders went on to speak at his rally about the great debt owed to Native Americans. A sentiment that was met with loud cheers of agreement.
Lyons delivered a letter from Sidney Hill, Tadodaho of the Haudenosaunee, which Sanders promised to read.
A delegation from Onondaga travelled to the White House earlier this year to celebrate the Canandaigua Treaty and extended a wampum invitation to President Barak Obama as an emblem that the Haudenosaunee continue to uphold a nation to nation relationship in America.
