Six Nations invests in new solar energy project

Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation announced they will partner in a new Solar energy project in Haldimand County.
Six Nations will make a $2 million dollar investment into the green energy project and will receive a 10% economic interest in return.
The investment is expected to generate about $7.4 million dollars for Six Nations over a 20 year period.
Development Corp President and CEO Matt Jamieson said the project aligns with Six Nations community values of sustainability and environmental prosperity.
Jamieson said investing in clean energy benefits the people of Six Nations economically without compromising the future of our children.
