New trial in murder death of Tashina General

Lawyers for Kent Owen Hill, the man previously convicted for the murder of Six Nations woman are now preparing for a second trial in the case.
Hill was convicted of second degree murder and sentenced to life in prison in the death of 21 year old Tashina General in 2008.
She was four months pregnant with Hill’s child at the time of her death.
Last fall Hill won the right to a new trial after he appealed that the Crown improperly cross examined him on his statement to police.
Dates for the new trial have not yet been set.
