The community of Six Nations is grieving the loss of a leader this week. Chief Arnie General, holder of the title Dehatgahtos for the Onondaga Beaver Clan passed away on Sunday.

Condolences came into the community from people across North America

Arnie was a well known spokesperson for the Six Nations community throughout his life. He is survived by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at Sour Springs Longhouse. He was 84 years old.
