First Nations waiting to hear Federal budget education plans

First Nations communities across Canada are waiting to see what will come in Tuesday’s federal budget announcement.
Earlier this week Indigenous affairs minister Carolyn Bennett announced the funding previously promised to First Nations education by the Liberals was removed by the previous Conservative government after the refusal of the First Nations Education Act.
Bennett said the Liberal government is working furiously to make up for the disaster, as a commitment to invest in First nations education was a heavy promise laid out by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in his election campaign.
