HDI lawyer Aaron Detlor returns to Six Nations despite being told to leave
01
Canadian lawyer Aaron Detlor returned to work on Six Nations Tuesday in spite of demands from community members he was no longer welcome on the territory.
About 60 Six Nations community members assembled outside Detlor’s office inside the Grand River Employment and Training building in Ohsweken insisting Detlor again leave the community.
GREAT sent their employees home for the day and locked the building.
Six Nations Police were on scene to assist.
A statement was later shared by a collective of Haudenosaunee Clan Mothers and Chiefs stating they endorsed Detlor remaining as legal adviser for the Haudenosaunee Confederacy Chiefs Council.
