Brantford Police were called to the Grand River behind the Casino Saturday evening to investigate a man laying in the Grand River.

Police said the man was fully clothed and found to be intoxicated.

Officers tried to help the man to dry land but he tried to fight them off. Police arrested the 38 year old Ohsweken man and he was held overnight at the station. He was released in the morning.
