Six Nation poet, E. Pauline Johnson has made it as one of 12 finalists as a potential new face, and first female apart from the Queen, to appear on Canadian money.
More than 460 iconic Canadian women met the qualifying criteria through the selection process.
The list of 12 will soon be cut down to a list of three to five names by the Advisory Council.
The chosen candidate will appear on Canadian currency in 2018.
